BofA Honors Two Associates for Technology Achievements
Bank of America today recognized two associates for outstanding individual technology contributions by naming them the 2010 Bank of America Technology Fellows, an annual company award that honors technology associates for career accomplishments. The 2010 honorees are:
Suresh Nair, chief architect in the bank's global wealth and investment management technology and operations.
Frank Venditti, architecture executive in the bank's enterprise Architecture team.
Nair's achievements at Merrill Lynch and Bank of America include a 2009 U.S. patent for inventing a "Service Integration Framework" " a system that lets the bank combine standard solutions. According to the bank, he also led an effort to create the industry's first service-oriented wealth management platform, from envisioning architecture and design, through implementation and deployment.
Venditti's background includes developing technology in Australia, Brazil and Mexico, helping to build the bank's capabilities to automatically route payments to multinational customers and managing the transition of Banco Liberal systems to the bank's Brazil systems.
The bank began the Technology Fellow program in 2007. Besides recognizing honorees' personal achievements, the program also demonstrates the bank's commitment to recognizing and rewarding top achievements and broad industry leadership and innovation in technology.
Manager nominations were extensively reviewed and evaluated by the bank's technology leadership team before the two honorees were chosen.
