Fiserv and TOPS Software Make Payment Processing Easier for Property Managers

The two companies have partnered to help automate payments exceptions during payments processing for property managers.

Fiserv is partnering with TOPS Software, a property management software provider, to make payments processing more simple and efficient for property managers, the financial services solutions provider said in a statement today. The partnership will allow property managers to automatically resolve payments exceptions during payment processing by integrating data between Fiserv's RemitStream Exception Handling property management solution and TOPS's Condo/HOA management software, the statement explained.

The two companies worked together to create a specific file that loads into Fiserv's processing system that can be used to create files for accepting and stopping payments, as well as name and address searches, during payment processing. The statement said that this will help property managers by reducing the number of exceptions that need to be resolved manually. Fiserv clients who use TOPS Professional accounting software will have this file automatically available in their software.

"For many of our property management and HOA clients, payments with missing or wrong information continue to be a costly and time-consuming issue," Jim Salin, executive vice president and business development manager for Pacific Western Bank, said in the statement. "Automated exception processing is a huge benefit to our clients. The partnership between Fiserv and TOPS is important to our clients because it helps automate many of the decisions about exception items handled by our clients' employees."
