One of the interesting parts of this process is that they decided to buy rather than build their new platforms, even though Bank of America historically has relied on proprietary platforms. Bill mentioned that given the bank's size and scale, there were very few vendors that fit the bill for them.

Having sopekn to Bill Pappas about this on a couple of occasions, it is definitely am ambitious project he and his team are working on, but one that will likely set them up well for the foreseeable future. It should also be noted BofA is one of the few banks that has the resources to take ona  project of such magnitude.
