Banca Antonveneta/EDS

Banca Antonveneta (Padua, Italy) signed a seven-year contract with EDS, headquartered in Plano, Texas. Under the contract, EDS will supply business continuity services through a fiber-optic connection between the infrastructure of Banca Antonveneta and EDS' data centers.

Queensland picks Aptra Edge

Bank of Queensland (Brisbane, Australia) has selected NCR's (Dayton, Ohio) open multi-vendor ATM software, Aptra Edge, to run its network of Diebold cash machines. Aptra Edge enables an organization to integrate its ATM network with other channels and systems within the enterprise.

KBC Finds FAME

KBC Bank and Insurance Group, headquartered in Brussels, is now under a fixed-price, fixed-delivery-date, multi-year agreement to use FAME's (New York) ReferencePoint Solution. ReferencePoint integrates multiple data sources and automatically feeds cleansed data into multiple internal systems.

Digital China/Financial Fusion

Financial Fusion, Inc. (Concord, Mass.), and Digital China Software Ltd., headquartered in Beijing, have formed an alliance that will combine the complete line of Financial Fusion's software for banking, payments and capital markets with Digital China's systems integration capabilities.

AML Exam in Panama

Panama City, Panama, will be the site of the Spanish-language debut of the Miami-based Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists (ACAMS) exam. The exam will evaluate candidates' knowledge of areas such as standards on money laundering and terrorist financing, the U.S.A. Patriot Act, the challenges posed by money remittance companies and techniques used to detect terrorism funds.

National Australia Goes ON

Melbourne-based National Australia Bank will use ON Technology (Waltham, Mass.) software to manage currency trading applications-including all Windows clients and servers-across its Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) division.

Leadbank Chooses Misys

LeadBank Plc. (Lagos, Nigeria) is now deploying Misys' (Evesham, UK) Wholesale Banking Systems Trade Innovation software to consolidate data and increase efficiency across its trade finance operations. This system will support trade-related business applications, including import and export letters of credit, collections, bill financing and guarantees.

Bank of Cyprus Taps Fundtech

Bank of Cyprus (headquartered in Nicosia) will be using Jersey City, N.J.-based Fundtech's payments processing platform, Global PAYplus, across its network of branches. Global PAYplus will replace various systems, allowing the bank to reduce costs and deliver consistent payment services across the branches.

Scotiabank Streams S1

Scotiabank, a Toronto-based international financial services provider, is implementing S1 Corp.'s (Atlanta) S1 Personal Banking application on the S1 Enterprise Platform to provide customers in Trinidad and Tobago with an online solution that brings deposit, credit and loan accounts into one consolidated view.

Bankgesellschaft/Trema

Bankgesellschaft (Berlin, BGB), has gone live with London-based Trema's Finance KIT to improve efficiency in managing its back-office function.
