APX integrates portfolio accounting, reporting and CRM on a single, SQL-based platform. “The APX platform gives us the ability to leverage our data significantly,” Mr. Wright says. “Once it’s in SQL, we can do custom applications in-house. We can do all different kinds of reports. And we can create custom links to transmit data to our custodians.” Piedmont also takes advantage of the integrated CRM capabilities to keep track of family members. “We were running CRMs in a couple databases over about three to four locations,” Mr. Wright explains. “We saw APX as a potential way to streamline that into one database.”
