(0)Overview: In an effort to gain timely corporate action information and automate the transfer of that data, CACEIS selected Advent Corporate Actions® (ACA), Advent’s straight-through-processing service. ACA integrates with Advent’s Geneva® portfolio management system to automate and simplify the process of tracking and processing corporate actions. Leveraging the capabilities of the Geneva Workflow Manager, ACA delivers timely, accurate corporate action information for securities held in client portfolios. Each day, Geneva sends the active investments of the ACA client. ACA cross references the securities against the corporate action database and automatically generates highly customizable reports that are sent to the appropriate person at the client firm. Subscribers, such as CACEIS, have the advantage of the ACA service taking that data and automatically building the transactions for mandatory U.S. Equity and ADR events, such as spinoffs, mergers, name changes, ticker changes, cash and stock exchanges. ACA clients have these transactions available as of the market effective date as well as an additional online research tool at their disposal. The client can leverage that to look up information on a particular security, even if it’s not held by them.
