Wachovia (Charlotte, N.C.) selected Convergys (Cincinnati) to provide automated customer care services. The bank's current IVR and speech-recognition applications will migrate to Convergys' SpeechPort platform.

Apple Bank Taps Mosaic

Apple Bank (New York) selected Mosaic Software's (Deerfield Beach, Fla.) Postilion solution to provide ATM driving, transaction switching and routing, and card management for Apple's ATM network.

Innobeta, Fiserv Team

Innobeta Systems (South Hackensack, N.J.) and Fiserv EFT/CNS, a unit of Fiserv Inc. (Brookfield, Wis.), teamed to provide credit unions and community banks with access to ATM products and services offered by the two companies.

Metavante Acquisition

Metavante (Milwaukee) will acquire VECTORsgi (Addison, Texas). The company will continue to operate under the VECTORsgi name, and existing management will remain in their current positions.

eFunds, BISYS Alliance

eFunds Corp. (Scottsdale, Ariz.) expanded its alliance with BISYS (New York) to add selected ACH processing services to eFunds' suite of electronic banking services. BISYS will augment its existing ACH services with eFunds' ACH processing system.

Aconite, Welcome Partner

Aconite (London) partnered with Welcome (Aix-en-Provence, France) to deliver payment solutions to banks, financial institutions and merchants globally.

BB&T Selects Xcitek

Branch Banking & Trust (Winston-Salem, N.C.) licensed XcitekSolutionsPlus' (New York) XSP software for corporate actions processing. The agreement includes Xcitek's corporate actions and cost basis data.

Sun Seeks SeeBeyond

Sun Microsystems (Santa Clara, Calif.) completed a marketing agreement with SeeBeyond (Monrovia, Calif.) that features SOA solutions and composite application delivery via the Sun Java Enterprise System. SeeBeyond will port components of its Integration Composite Application Network Suite to the Sun Java ES.

First Data Deals

First Data Corp. (Denver) agreed to enhance its VisionPLUS card processing system to support JCB (Tokyo) issuance and acquiring. First Data also extended its agreement with Nationwide Building Society (Swindon, England) to process Nationwide's Visa credit card transactions and provide a contact center for cardholders.

Magex Acquires OPT

Magex Holdings (London) acquired Open Payment Technologies (Phoenix) and will immediately begin distributing OPT's stored-value card processing, loyalty programs and transaction authorization services.
