Mobile banking, simply put, can be broken down into two things:

  • Mobile money monitoring: ability to check balances, see recent transactions, receive alerts

  • Mobile money movement: payments, transfers, bills

    • The goal for banks as they enter the mobile app-driven space, is to build apps that can achieve achieve both, Javelin Strategy's Mark Schwanhausser tells CBS MoneyWatch.
