Wells Fargo Names Wholesale Internet Solutions Head

Wells Fargo names Secil Watson Wholesale Internet Solutions head; she will be responsible for the bank's Commercial Electronic Office portal and its CEO Mobile service.

Long-time Wells Fargo & Company Internet banking executive Secil Tabli Watson has been named head of Wholesale Internet Solutions at the San Francisco-based bank.

In her new role, Watson will guide strategic direction for the Wells Fargo's Commercial Electronic Office (CEO) portal, which provides instant online access to more than 80 applications, including cash management, credit and loans, foreign exchange, global payments, health benefit services, insurance, trade services, trust, investment, and retirement services. She also will be responsible for CEO Mobile service, which allows customers to monitor their accounts and perform critical tasks from anywhere using Web-enabled mobile devices.

"Secil has led innovation and growth of our consumer Internet and mobile channels for nearly a decade," said Danny Peltz, EVP and head of Treasury Management at Wells Fargo, in a press release. "Her leadership, expertise, and insight will keep our commercial and corporate channel at the industry's forefront, deliver innovative new solutions, and enhance our customers' experience."

Watson joined Wells Fargo, which claims to be the first bank to offer commercial and corporate customers mobile services and single sign-on access to online banking, in 2002. She served nine years as senior vice president in the Internet Services Group, managing online and mobile payments, fraud prevention, authentication, customer experience and insights, payment and fraud operations. Under her leadership, active mobile channel customers grew to more than 7 million, and online banking customers reached 19.7 million. Watson also is an active member of the Wells Fargo Enterprise Diversity Council.
