Riggs Opens High-Tech Financial Center

The Riggs Financial Center combines latest technology with personal service.

Riggs Bank has opened its first Financial Center in Alexandria, Va.

The Riggs Financial Center at Tavern Square is Riggs' next-generation branch office experience, combining the latest in technology with high-touch personal service. Clients can take advantage of a variety of advanced, self-service tools, including laptops with Internet access and a check-cashing ATM, or consult one-on-one with specialists, all of whom are cross-trained in Riggs' spectrum of financial services and many of whom are licensed investment representatives.

Unlike a typical bank branch, the Tavern Square Financial Center has no teller line. Its open, airy look features a circular client services counter, private meeting rooms, comfortable armchairs and couches, flat-screen TVs tuned to investment news, a stock quote ticker board, and a Knowledge Cafe, complete with coffee, periodicals, and Internet connections.

"Consistent with our heritage of providing outstanding customer service, we believe we have created an environment that offers all the resources people need to make smart financial decisions," said Jeff Glynn, executive vice president of community banking at Washington, D.C.-based Riggs Bank.
