BS&T Launches Executive Summit

New networking event addresses innovation and change.

Technology executives in banking constantly are exhorted to drive change in their organizations, for everything from core systems performance to improvement of customer service to better risk management. But it can be extremely difficult to go beyond the rhetoric and get meaningful, measurable results. What kinds of skills, partners and insights do bankers need to help their institutions achieve transformation?

Attendees at Bank Systems & Technology's inaugural Executive Summit, "The Transformation Imperative" -- taking place Sept. 17-19, 2006, at La Quinta Resort & Club in Palm Springs, Calif. -- will gain access to insights, answers and resources that can help them in this endeavor. This exclusive, invitation-only event will provide focused networking and educational opportunities to bank CIOs, CTOs and other senior-level technology executives/IT decision makers, as well as line-of-business heads.

"Targeted, content-rich, productive events that offer banking executives networking and educational opportunities with peers and solutions providers offer tremendous value to the Bank Systems & Technology senior-level audience, and that is what has spurred the creation of the Executive Summit," points out BS&T editorial director Kathy Burger. "Our goal is to create an exclusive community of bank executives who can come together in a unique setting to share ideas, resources and war stories, and gain access to the industry's most innovative and effective technology solutions."

The Executive Summit conference program will address some of the most critical and complex issues in banking, including identifying and optimizing high-value customers, reaping the benefits of end-to-end electronic processing of core business functions, developing a more strategic approach to regulatory compliance, the future of the payments business, and which emerging technologies have the most potential to transform the banking industry. Another highlight of the event will be a reception and dinner on Monday, Sept. 18, recognizing the six executives profiled in BS&T's special issue, "Banking's Most Innovative CIOs."

The program also facilitates focused, one-on-one meetings between attendees and Executive Summit sponsors, which at press time include Exstream Software, Harland Financial Solutions, Metavante, ProfitStars (a Jack Henry company) and SAS. On Monday, Sept. 18, the recreational program will feature a golf tournament and spa treatments.

Qualified Executive Summit attendees are responsible only for the costs of their transportation to and from La Quinta Resort and Club -- hotel accommodations, the conference, Monday recreation and meals/receptions are compliments of BS&T and the Executive Summit sponsors.
