December 18, 2008 Dallas-based BancTec, Inc., a global provider of high-volume document and payment processing solutions and services, has entered into a retail remittance processing agreement with Discover Financial Services (Riverwoods, Ill.), a credit card issuer and electronic payment services company.

Under the terms of the agreement, three BancTec operating centers, located in the United States, will handle Discover's AR processing. BancTec's PayCourier high-speed image remittance processing solution will form the technical core of BancTec's service for Discover. BancTec will also incorporate its IntelliScan document processing transport, workflow management, and various other technical solutions.
