Alfred Carpetto has joined Cleveland-based KeyBank as executive vice president and head of the bank's Enterprise Commercial Payments Group. Carpetto will oversee Key's treasury management, international foreign exchange and institutional asset services businesses, working with Key's Community and Corporate Bank to implement the bank's commercial payments strategy. He also will be involved in development of the bank's healthcare payments capabilities.

Carpetto will be based in Cleveland and report directly to Christopher M. Gorman, president of Key Corporate Bank and chairman and chief executive officer of KeyBank, NA. "Al possesses a deep understanding of end-to-end financial services operations, technology, product and risk management," said Gorman in a press release. "This, coupled with his insight into the middle market, will allow Key to continue to provide our clients with a depth of solutions made to meet their needs."

Carpetto most recently served as head of global transaction services for the Americas at Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), where he established a strategic direction for driving growth of global transactions with banks and non-financial institutions in the U.S., Canada and Latin America. Prior to joining RBS, he was a sales executive within the Treasury and Securities Services Group at JPMorgan Chase. He also held leadership positions at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette and Dean Witter Reynolds. Additionally, Carpetto serves on the PayCo Board of The Clearing House.
