** Commerce Bank Cranks Up CRM

Commerce Bank (Kansas City, Mo.) integrated First Research's (Raleigh, N.C.) Industry Intelligence Tools solution with the bank's internal CRM system. Custom Web services were developed to create one internal resource where bankers can view specific customer data combined with critical information about that customer's industry. First Research synthesizes hundreds of sources of information into a format designed for quick understanding of a prospect's or client's business issues to enhance CRM systems, according to First Research.

** First Charter Rolls Out Retirement Product

First Charter Bank (Charlotte, N.C.) implemented the RolloverHQ platform from RolloverSystems (Charlotte, N.C.). RolloverHQ will be used to provide automated retirement plan rollover services, including EGTRRA-mandated automatic rollovers, to the bank's retirement plan clients and those of its subsidiary, SouthEastern Employee Benefit Services. The product's filtering technology enables banks to selectively retain the accounts they want, says RolloverSystems. When rollover candidates do not meet specific segmentation criteria, the system provides IRA offers from other financial institutions on the RolloverMarket Direct Network.
