With its headquarters in Washington, D.C., the Independent Community Bankers of America (ICBA) have had interesting, blizzard-filled week. I spoke to a source there for a recent article who had just been forced to drive from Florida to D.C. thanks to cancelled airline flights. ICBA president and CEO Cam Fine, meanwhile, compares the snow to a recent industry trend. "In recent weeks, there are those in our industry in many states who have been creating little letter blizzards of their own, and trying to 'snowblind' the community bankers of their states," he writes in his latest blog post. ---

Why Hardware Still Matters- At Least for a Couple of Years

"It is easy to assume that with the excitement around cloud computing would put a damper on the hardware market. But I have news for you. I am predicting that over the next few years hardware will be front and center," Judith Hurwitz writes.
