Mortgage Builder Releases New Loan Origination Platform for Lenders

Mortgage Builder's new Architect platform offers a more user-friendly experience and easy enhancements for bank's lending operations.

Mortgage Builder Software, a loan origination software provider, introduced its new revamped loan origination platform, dubbed Architect, on Tuesday.

The platform, which has been in production for the past two years, takes advantage of Windows Communication Foundation, Windows Presentation Foundation and a .NET framework. "This will greatly decrease the time of delivery for enhancements [for the platform's users]," says Kelli Himebaugh, Mortgage Builder's Corporate Vice President.

Architect was also designed to be more user-friendly than its predecessor - the Mortgage Builder platform. Users will be able to easily resize the screen and reconfigure it in a number of ways when viewing stacks of electronic mortgage documents, and all required fields in those documents are conveniently highlighted so they can't be missed.

Where as the previous Mortgage Builder platform was offered either as a hosted, Architect will be offered with a completely browser-based deployment that integrates with Mortgage Builder's mobile browser-based loan origination portal, Surveyance. For those who prefer though, Himebaugh says that Architect can still be deployed as a server-based solution.

Mortgage Builder is planning to migrate all of its clients over to Architect from its old platform by the end of the first quarter of 2013. Mortgage Builder's President and CEO Keven Smith promises that the switch to the new platform will be easy for its clients: "Clients can leave the classic [platform] on Friday and come to Architect on Monday."
