Microsoft Names Susan Hauser to Lead Worldwide Industry Sectors and Global Accounts

Microsoft names Susan Hauser to lead Worldwide Industry Sectors and Global Accounts, which includes Worldwide Financial Services, Distribution and Services, Manufacturing and Resources, and the Global Accounts Organization.

Susan Hauser, head of Microsoft Corp.'s (Redmond, Wash.) Worldwide Financial Services Group, has been promoted to VP of Microsoft's Worldwide Industry and Global Accounts. She replaces Brian Scott, who has assumed a new role as general manager of the Health & Life Sciences Industry. Hauser will continue to lead the Worldwide Financial Services Group as the search continues for her successor.

In her new role, Hauser will lead and have accountability for Microsoft's Worldwide Commercial Industry Sectors, including Worldwide Financial Services, Worldwide Distribution and Services, Worldwide Manufacturing and Resources, and the Global Accounts Organization. She will oversee the industry strategies, marketing, solution development, partner development, thought leadership and executive relations.

"I'm excited by the challenge of leading a very strong Worldwide Industry and Global Accounts team in helping our enterprise customers and partners respond to the 'new normal,'" Hauser said in a press release. "Our No. 1 priority continues to be to ensure that our customers and partners realize the most business value from their relationships with Microsoft. I look to meeting this challenge by leveraging the combined strength of our Worldwide Industry and Global Accounts organizations to ensure that our industry solutions are tightly aligned to the needs of our top accounts and other enterprise customers."

Hauser was responsible for creating Microsoft's first Financial Services organization with the goal of developing a deeper understanding of Microsoft's financial services industry customers and aligning the company's efforts to better meet their business needs.
