Garda Cash Logistics, a Montreal-based cash logistics provider, has announced that Barbara Danzi has been named chief information security officer (CISO).
In the newly created role, Danzi will have operational responsibility for the company's information security program and the procedures for all information technology processes and systems, according to a Garda press release. Danzi will also oversee audit and test functions for all Garda systems and will assist integrating components of the company's business continuity plan (BCP).
Before the CISO appointment, Danzi worked as a senior manager at Archer Technologies, an enterprise governance risk and compliance (GRC) management firm. Danzi, who has an executive MBA from the University of Southern California's Marshall School of Business and an undergraduate degree in engineering from Cornell, has also spent time working in the information risk management field during stints with DirectTV, UnitedHealth Group and Wachovia Dealer Services.

"She brings to Garda Cash Logistics and to our customers management and technical expertise that is absolutely essential to success in today's financial markets."
