NACHA Names Miner

NACHA - The Electronic Payments Association (Herndon, Va.) appointed Daniel Miner as senior director of electronic check and risk management services. Miner, chairman of NACHA's check conversion applications rules workgroup since 2000, will manage NACHA's Electronic Check Council and head its risk mitigation services.

Foliage Finds Director

Foliage Software Systems (Burlington, Mass.) has hired Jeff Mehlman as industry practice director, financial services. Mehlman has 20 years of consulting experience in large-scale financial industry information systems development and integration. Prior to joining Foliage, he was chief architect with NerveWire.

CBU Promotes New COO

Community Bank System (CBU, Syracuse) promoted CFO Mark E. Tryniski to the newly created position of COO of CBU and its principal banking subsidiary, Community Bank N.A. Tryniski assumes responsibility for all banking, financial services, treasury management, technology and HR operations.

InfoVista Selects SVP

InfoVista (Paris), a provider of business technology intelligence (BTI) software, has appointed Jean-Luc Valente as SVP of strategic alliances and channels.
