September 17, 2008 Bottomline Technologies (Portsmouth, N.H.), provider of collaborative payment, invoice and document automation solutions, is partnering with Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication (SWIFT), (La Hulpe, Belgium) on its new Alliance Lite Web-based connectivity option. A member-owned cooperative, SWIFT's products and services are used by more than 8,300 banks, securities institutions and corporations in 209 countries to exchange more than 3.5 billion standardized financial messages annually. As development partner on this initiative, Bottomline will work with SWIFT to incorporate the key components of its solution for global payments, cash reporting, and custody, treasury and funds messaging into Alliance Lite.

The new connectivity option will provide direct, secure and low-cost Web-based access to SWIFT's financial messaging network worldwide, enabling members to increase straight-through processing while leveraging a single communication channel, the company asserts.
