USAA Formally Launches Its iPad App

USAA continues to lead at offering innovative mobile applications for banking, insurance and investments.

USAA, which has been a leader in mobile applications -- not only among the first to offer iPhone and Android apps and remote deposit capture but creating innovative mobile applications last year that let home and car buyers research products and take out loans via phone -- today officially released its iPad banking app.

The application provides traditional mobile banking features such as balance checks, the ability to change a PIN number or activate a card, and bill payment. However, it also offers news articles of interest, access to banking and insurance documents and retirement advice. One strength USAA has for its mobile applications is the ability to offer integrated banking, insurance and investment information and transactions. Few financial institutions have achieved this level of customer data integration and integration between mobile and more traditional banking channels.
