Sberbank, the largest retail bank in Russia with more than 20,000 branches, opened a flagship "Branch of the Future" in Moscow in December. The branch features self-service machines, 3D virtual financial advisors and a "relaxation area" with coffee, magazines and games for the children.
Today, the bank and BPC Banking Technologies announced that BPC's SmartVista MediaExtension is being used on the self-service machines at the branch. SmartVista provides Flash-based multi-channel online customer support via the internet and self-service devices. It provides customers with audio and audio visual connections to call center operators, so the customer can interact with a call center rep via videoconferencing.
"With the opening of our flagship Branch of the Future in Moscow, we have started a unique programme designed to deliver superior service to our customers through transforming our branch network," said Eugeny Kublanovsky, head of projects, IT development department, Sberbank of Russia, in a statement. "BPC's commitment to the project has been a critical element in optimizing the Bank's delivery capability across multiple channels."
