December 21, 2008 Frost Bank (San Antonio) has selected the Panini (Dayton, Oh.)Vision X check scanner for branch image capture. The Vision X scanner allows Frost Bank to increase operational efficiency by automating check processing in its branches by capturing check images at the teller, according to the company.

Frost will deploy Panini's Advanced Graphic Printing (AGP) option to enable receipt printing for teller deposit transactions within the same physical Vision X unit. The bank is also using Panini's new ultrasonic double document detection technology designed to detect more than one item in the document track, regardless of document thickness or colors.
