Desert Schools CU Taps Corillian

Desert Schools Federal Credit Union licenses latest Corillian's Voyager Internet banking platform

Desert Schools Federal Credit Union, Phoenix, Ariz., has licensed the latest version of Corillian's Voyager Internet banking platform.

Corillian Voyager 3.0 will provide Desert Schools' more than 225,000 members with enhanced Internet banking, bill payment capabilities and a new look and feel to Desert Schools' ePAL online banking service. Desert Schools has also licensed the Corillian Business Finance Suite to provide Internet banking services to its small business banking members.

"With the increase in our online member base and their demand for enhanced functionality, we knew we needed to take our investment to the next level," said Ron Amstutz, chief information officer of $1.7 billion Desert Schools Federal Credit Union.

The new platform will provide user-friendly service, enhanced bill payment capabilities, an online vehicle for members to perform small business transactions, improved scalability and the flexibility to incorporate new functionality.

Built on the Windows 2000 platform, Voyager 3.0 incorporates Internet banking, bill delivery and payment, linear scalability and increased authorization and authentication services, such as single sign-on, off-host user authentication and user entitlement management. Leveraging other Microsoft technologies like the .NET framework, SQL Server 2000, Windows 2000 Advanced Server and integrated clustering services, the product gives financial institutions a scalable, flexible and reliable foundation to meet their enterprise banking requirements.

Desert Schools will extend the Corillian Voyager platform to other lines of business and new customer segments such as small business products and services.
