The problems with Apple's iPhone 4 - if the user covers the lower left corner of the device with his or her hand the signal may drop - persist. Our friends at InformationWeek have come up with five solutions to the problem, as well as some recommendations for Apple. The solutions are as simple as using a bumper or case (Apple's recommendation), holding it differently, using duct tape or other tape, or waiting for a fix.

Commenters on the InformationWeek blog added a few suggestions of their own, including:

Be patient until winter when most people will be wearing gloves.

Buy a Droid.

Paint it with clear nail polish.

Drink less water and eat less fat so that your skin resistance will decrease and reduce shorting out of the signal.

Get a life and worry about more important things.
