M&T Bank (Buffalo) selected Teros' (Sunnyvale, Calif.) Web Application Gateway to protect M&T's online mortgage center's databases and Web servers from Internet attacks.

First Tennessee Bank Sticks to Glue

First Tennessee Bank, a banking subsidiary of First Horizon National (Memphis, Tenn.), will use webMethods' (Fairfax, Va.) Glue development environment to create interoperability between disparate operating systems and applications.

ING Goes LoC With Bolero

ING Wholesale Banking (Amsterdam) deployed Bolero (London) to provide electronic letter-of-credit (LoC) support to its corporate customers, supplanting paper-based mail and fax communications, and providing a consolidated view of positions across multiple banks.

Issuer Renews First Data

First National Bank of Marin (Las Vegas) renewed with First Data (Denver) for transaction processing of 1.5 million credit card accounts. Financial terms were not disclosed.

First Indiana Outsources With Metavante

First Indiana Corp. (Indianapolis) selected Metavante (Milwaukee) for outsourced banking and payments technologies, including e-banking, CRM and consulting.

EDS Signs FIBI

EDS (Plano, Texas) signed a $108 million outsourcing deal with the First International Bank of Israel. FIBI will outsource its IT infrastructure and 100 employees to EDS Israel, which will host the bank's computer and telecom networks.

Northwest Renews S1

Northwest Savings Bank (Warren, Pa.) renewed its relationship with S1 Corp. (Atlanta), adding the S1 Personal Banking and S1 Business Banking solutions. As part of the deal, the bank will upgrade its online banking service and host its applications at S1's data center.

Sovereign Expands P&H

Sovereign Bank (Philadelphia) will deploy a single business banking platform from its cash management provider, P&H Solutions (Boston), that is capable of serving sole proprietorships as well as multinational corporations, according to P&H.

RZB Deploys CLS

Raiffeisen Zentralbank (Austria) deployed a CLS third-party module from Wall Street Systems (New York) that allows the bank to manage the continuous linked settlement flow from its subsidiary offices in Vienna, London and Singapore.

GECIS Picks SmartStream

GE Capital International Services (GECIS; Delhi, India) selected SmartStream (London) for reconciliations and exceptions management.
